BHC Receives CVS Caremark Community Grant for Health Services for Uninsured The Bakersfield Homeless Center’s David L. Harmon Medical and Dental Program for the homeless and uninsured was recently recognized for it value to the community through a $1000 CVS Caremark Community Grant. |

Bethany Services recently acquired the property on 8th Street that used to house the old Friese Maternity Hospital, founded in the 1900s by Minnie Friese. Dormant for the last three years, the facility will be remodeled to provide a program to help the homeless. |
