...Benefits homeless families and children. The Bakersfield Homeless Center is calling all runners and walkers to join us for our 2nd Annual Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Trot began as an Eagle Scout Project by race organizer Matt Prasser to benefit the homeless families at BHC. Matt will once again join BHC for the fun and festivities as the Emcee for the event, along with a new appearance by Big Bob the Turkey to start the race. Event coordinator Debra Lawson Tyner said, “Last year was such a fun and exciting event for our clients and members of the community, we just had to do it again! The turnout for last year was amazing and brought together families of all ages.” Registration forms can be downloaded below if you are interested in participating in our Turkey Run. Fill out the form (before November 21, 2009) and mail, or drop off at the Bakersfield Homeless Center, 1600 E. Truxtun Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93305. Thank you! |
