Nikki Singleterry is the fourth youth from BHC to find placement at Yosemite National Park. Yosemite has partnered with the Job Development Program to provide opportunities for BHC clients to gain employment. |

I made a phone call that has changed my life. I had thought about calling to volunteer at BHC for months, but it never seemed to be the right time. Finally, I made the call and two days later, my journey began. I volunteer at Bakersfield Homeless Center, working in the GED program. |

BHC and The City of Bakersfield have joined to create a win/win situation to help combat homelessness in our city. The new contract will allow homeless individuals to start working at entry-level positions sorting green waste materials at the City of Bakersfield Green Waste Facility. |
